Brock Edward Lesnar was born on July 12, 1977 in Webster, South Dakota. He was an
accomplished amateur wrestler, finishing his amateur career as a two-time NJCAA
All-American, 1998 NJCAA Heavyweight Champion, two-time NCAA All-American,
two-time Big Ten Conference Champion, and the 2000 NCAA heavyweight champion
with a record of 106–5 overall in four years of college. Brock then gained
prominence in WWE, where he was a three-time WWE Champion. After leaving WWE in 2004, Lesnar pursued
a career in the NFL. He played during the preseason for the Minnesota Vikings.
Lesnar returned to professional wrestling at the end of 2005, and joined New
Japan Pro Wrestling, where he won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. In 2007 Brock started a career in Mixed
Martial Arts and won the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Championship. In december of 2011 Brock announced his retirement from the sport.
He returned to WWE in april 2012.
As noted earlier, Brock is being advertised to wrestle in Japan on July 4th vs Kofi Kingston.
Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reports that Lesnar is working the event because he planned to visit Masa Saito, a retired Japanese wrestler, with friend Brad Rheingans (a former wrestler from Minnesota who competed for the American Wrestling Association, New Japan Pro Wrestling and briefly WWE in 1986 as an enhancement talent).
“Lesnar and Brad Rheingans wanted to go to Japan to see Masa Saito,” Melter wrote. “Just figured since he was going anyway, make it tax deductible, get his trans paid and work one show.”
Meltzer noted that Lesnar is only working that one show.
There are rumors that Brock is playing a role in the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” movie. FrontRowBrian, who often breaks UFC/WWE related news mentioned this on Twitter today. This has not been officially confirmed though.
Update: There are also different reports now saying Brock was supposed to play a role in the movie but dropped out before they began shooting.

Sheamus recently revealed in an interview with Delaware Online that he’d like to face Brock at WrestleMania:
Q: If you could take on any wrestler in WWE history and work with them, who would it be?
Sheamus: Right now, it’s Brock Lesnar. I want Brock Lesnar. Simple as that. Brock Lesnar to me is a man who shows up now and again, and obviously considers himself the toughest man in WWE. And I consider myself THE toughest guy in WWE. I’ve been saying for a long time that I want a crack at Brock Lesnar. I wanted a crack at Undertaker before, but that streak is gone now and the opportunity is gone. I’m looking at today’s toughest streak. I want Brock Lesnar. And I want him at Wrestlemania.

Brock Lesnar defeated Big Show in a stretcher match at 15:27 to retain the WWE Title. Lesnar and Show went at it pretty good here, trading shots with the stretcher and fighting outside the ring for most of the match. After several failed attempts to wheel Show out on the stretcher, Lesnar headed to the back as Rey Mysterio entered the ring through the crowd and hit Show with a 619. Lesnar came back out behind the wheel of a forklift and Mysterio jumped on Show’s back and tried to choke him out. Lesnar put the stretcher on the forklift and then got in the ring and delivered an F5 to Show. Lesnar then rolled Show onto the forklift and drove back past the line to win the match. Lesnar raised the forklift as high as it could go with Show still on it. Lesnar then celebrated on top the forklift as the show went off the air.
Ubisoft revealed gameplay for their new Assassins Creed Syndicate game earlier today and it looks like they used Brock in one of the sketches for the battles. And: the guy he’s hitting with a shovel looks a whole lot like Frank Mir.
It’s doubtful he will actually be in the game because (as far as I know) Ubisoft has no legal right to use his likeness. Full reveal of the game can be viewed HERE (Brock bit is at around the 21min mark).
